Hawthorne Hill Nature Center Earth Day Celebration. A free family friendly event with activities, presentations, and giveaways. The focus will be on earth-friendly practices with local environmental organizations and vendors. Saturday, Apr. 22, 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm. at Hawthorne Hill Nature Center, 28 Brookside Dr, Elgin, IL 60123.
Elgin Earth Summit presented by the City of Elgin’s Sustainability Commission. Also a free event, the Elgin Earth Summit is an opportunity to connect with local environmental organizations and learn about sustainability initiatives in the area. Shared Harvest Spring Picnic. We’re planning an outdoor potluck picnic to bring together owner/members and supporters in person. Details to come, please save the date. Saturday, May 13 from 11:00 a.m to 1:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Elgin, 39W830 Highland Ave, Elgin, IL 60124.
