You’re invited to our spring potluck picnic on Saturday, May 13 from 11:00 a.m to 1:30 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Elgin (UUCE), 39W830 Highland Ave, Elgin, IL 60124.
Enjoy good food and community and take in the sounds and sights from the native prairie habitat maintained by church members. UUCE is also home to one of the largest outdoor labyrinths in Illinois, a place for introspection and meditation. Tours of UUCE’s prairie cathedral and nearby McQueen Station Farm will be available (register at picnic check in).
Bring a dish to share and we’ll provide some healthful picnic-style food, too. The event will be held largely outdoors but in the event of rain we’ll be indoors. Accessible restrooms are available inside the church building. We’re striving to generate as little waste as possible and encourage reusable containers, serving utensils and water bottles.
