At Shared Harvest, we’re committed to strengthening our community and growing our cooperative during our current planning phase. Financial donations from the community help support our startup expenses and keep us moving toward our goal of opening our cooperatively owned grocery that links consumers to affordable, healthy, locally produced food, fosters sustainable agriculture, and contributes to the economic and cultural vibrancy of the Elgin community. We gratefully accept two types of donations:
- Direct donations (not tax-deductible). You are welcome to mail a check or make an online donation on this page. Note: Direct donations are not tax-deductible.
- Tax-deductible donations. Thanks to our partnership with the Cooperative Development Fund of CDS, a 501(c)(3) organization with a mission to start and grow cooperatives, you can make a tax-deductible donation to Shared Harvest. This partnership allows us to continue providing services and expanding our impact.
Please see instruction below for each type of donation and contact us with any questions.
